made it!
Sorry this is such a short post, but its after midnight here and I'm definately starting to feel the exhaustion setting in...
The flight here was fine (the check in at the airport was another matter...), arrived in Oxford safely, and I've already made two really good friends. Katie was actually in my Italian class this last semester and Sam will be living in my dorm. They are both really great girls and we're planning on travelling to Edinburgh this weekend together.
Today was our first day of class and I already really enjoy it. We have class from 9 am to 12, with a tea break at 1030. My class is on criminology and comparing the British and American Legal systems. Looks to be absolutely fantastic!!!
After class we grabbed some lunch at a sandwich shop, then headed back here for "punting"... where you use a pole to steer a small boat. It was a lot of fun even though I proved particularly inept at steering...
The rest of the day was spent running around trying to get my internet set up, going on a library tour (to orient us to the library and the library system), and having our banquet.
I have many MANY pictures already and I hope to get them up and posted as soon as possible!
*sorry for the lack of a pompous quote... I'm afraid I'm a bit too tired for that now...
